[email protected]About Kayleana
Kayleana found veterinary medicine to be right for her because she gets to combine her love for science, her passion to help animals, and her desire to make meaningful relationships with clients and coworkers. She has experience in both emergency and critical care for small animal species.
Before working in veterinary medicine, Kayleana spent three years in a neuroscience research lab performing whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology to assess the electrical activity of a variety of primary neurons and cell lines at Oregon State University.
At home, she has a border collie named Milo, who is reactive towards all other animals so she understands both client and patient anxiety revolving around veterinary care. This motivated her to provide quality care to patients that addresses stress levels and individual patient needs. Outside of work, she is passionate about nature. She loves hiking, biking, and snowboarding with friends and family.
