About Kat
Kat is an educator and researcher in the area of veterinary professional-client-patient interactions, and a member of the Veterinary Communication for Professional Excellence team at CSU. Prior to joining CSU, Kat completed a Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship at the Ontario Veterinary College (Guelph, Canada) where her research focused on pet weight-related communication in companion animal practice. Kat’s research interests are motivated by wanting to understand how communication and relationships in veterinary medicine can be enhanced to help improve the lives of animals and the people who care for them. In her teaching, Kat enjoys supporting student veterinarians and practicing veterinary professionals to develop their clinical communication and relationship-building skills during interactions with clients and colleagues.
