About Andrea

Andrea grew up in the small town of Siberia, IN. She was raised on a farm, surrounded by cows, chickens, miniature horses, pigs, barn cats, and dogs. Growing up, she always knew she had a strong pull to help animals in need. Some of her fondest memories were waking up early before school so she could make a bottle for a calf she was helping her dad nurse back to health. She volunteered at a local vet clinic one summer before deciding to attend the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in Indianapolis, IN in 2011.

After obtaining her associate's in veterinary technology in 2012 and passing her VTNE, she began working in general practice. After a few years, she was looking to advance her career, skills, and knowledge, and she found herself working in the surgery department at the VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Fishers, IN. There, she grew her passion for anesthesia and managing complex cases. She moved onto one more specialty hospital before making her big move to the anesthesia department at CSU in 2017.

Here, she is living out her dream of working with both small and large animals and exotics of all kinds. She is currently working on obtaining her VTS in anesthesia and analgesia. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, baking, spending time with her beloved animals (Charlotte & Juan), visiting family/friends, and exploring the states with her significant other.
