About Alex
Alex is a second year combined DVM/PhD student. He is conducting his PhD work with Dr. Katie Sikes and Dr. Drew Koch in the Preclinical Surgical Research Laboratory. His research focus revolves around tendinopathy, with specific interests in tenocyte metabolism, physical rehabilitation, and preclinical animal models. He is interested in pursuing a specialty in small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation following completion of his doctoral degrees. In his spare time, Alex enjoys training for triathlon.
