[email protected]About Cassidy
Cassidy has always been an avid animal lover, having grown up in ranching communities and wildlife-rich areas across Colorado, Wyoming, Alaska, and Florida. Her early life was shaped by a wide variety of animals – fish, horses, peacocks, chickens, dogs, and cats – and as a teenager she expanded her passion to include exotic species such as hamsters, chinchillas, chameleons, blue-tongued skinks, and salamanders.
Today, Cassidy shares her home with two senior dogs: Jazzabelle, who came from Alaska, and Mochi, whom she adopted after meeting during her anesthesia rotation at CSU while completing the veterinary technician program at Front Range Community College. Outside of her work as a registered veterinary technician, she is also a photographer specializing in pet portraits.
Cassidy is an avid reader and movie enthusiast with a particular love for the fantasy genre. She also has a deep appreciation for Japanese culture, food, and landscapes, and hopes to travel to Japan many times in the future.
CSU holds a special place in Cassidy’s heart – her grandfather was a professor of fishery science there for many decades, her mother was a student, and Cassidy herself returned multiple times throughout her own education. She is grateful for the opportunity to join the Colorado State University Veterinary Health System and to continue this family tradition while contributing to the compassionate, high-quality patient care that CSU is known for.
