About Samantha

Samantha is a PhD student currently rotating through labs. She first developed an interest in finding effective vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics for infectious diseases while working at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a post-bachelor’s student. There, she contributed to influenza and COVID-19 diagnostic development as well as equine encephalitis virus vaccine approaches. She hopes to further explore host-pathogen interactions during her lab rotations. When she’s not in the lab, Samantha likes to read thriller novels, practice yoga, and explore new restaurants and breweries with friends and family.
