About Jennifer

I have lived along the Front Range my entire life. One of my first volunteer experiences was with the Denver Dumb Friends League and immediately following graduation from high school, I attended Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver, CO. I worked for 11 years in private practice, as a relief technician, and at a veterinary supply company. After aspiring for many years to work at the university level I found my place in the Anesthesia service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at CSU in 2006. I was one of the on-call emergency anesthetists for six years, allowing me to complete my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at CSU in 2009. I’ve been part of the day staff since 2012 and have been fortunate to also be involved as a Research Assistant and Clinical Educator during my time here, as well as returning to Bel-Rea as an instructor from 2018-2020. Throughout my career I have been involved with various local organizations such as the Colorado Horse Rescue, Colorado Pug Rescue, Colorado Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps, the aquarium, and canine search and rescue teams.
