Dr. Danielle Scott is a resident veterinarian in preventive medicine at Colorado State University, concurrently pursuing a Ph.D. in epidemiology. Her primary focus lies at the intersection of climate change and animal health. In her doctoral research, she investigates the health effects of environmental contamination, specifically examining the impact of air pollution and wildfire smoke on animal populations. Through her residency, Dr. Scott addresses the environmental implications of delivering veterinary care by identifying mitigation strategies and promoting sustainable initiatives within clinical practice, while also focusing on equitable and accessible care. When on clinics, Dr. Scott can be found at the VTH or the Murphy Center with Community Practice.
