About Jackie

Jackie is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California and completed her veterinary degree at Oregon State University. She then completed a rotating internship at Cornell University and is currently in a clinical research-focused cardiology specialty internship here at CSU. Jackie was a veterinary technician in small animal emergency and specialty care hospitals for 12 years prior to becoming a veterinarian. Her interests include advanced cardiac imaging and therapies involved with mitral valve disease. When she is not at work, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her partner Carlos, visiting family, spending time by any body of water, always looking for delicious and authentic restaurants to enjoy (foodie here!), makeup as an art form, and getting out into nature whenever possible.
