About Maritza

Maritza Soto Ojeda is a graduate student in Dr. Mary Jackson's Lab. She obtained her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Colorado State University, and she is currently working on obtaining her M.S. in Biomedical Sciences. Maritza's previous research work at Colorado State University involves contributions to projects on small RNAs and RNAi interference in nematodes. Currently, mentored by Dr. Bill Wheat, Maritza assists in projects involving macrophage cultures and their infection with nontuberculous mycobacteria to test drug efficacy.
