About Liz

Dr. Guieu is a clinical assistant professor of small animal emergency and critical care. She obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2008. Afterwards, she completed a rotating internship followed by an emergency and critical care fellowship at the National Veterinary School of Alfort (Paris, France). She then completed her residency at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). Dr. Guieu is a diplomate of the American and European College of Emergency and Critical Care. She also completed a master's degree in physiology and pathophysiology at Paris 6 (France) in 2011 and a doctorate in veterinary sciences in 2015 (Ontario, Canada). Her primary interests include mechanical ventilation, sepsis, patient care, and developing a strong nursing team.
