About Juan

Dr. Belardinelli is highly skilled in molecular biology and has a broad knowledge of physiology and genetic manipulation of mycobacteria. His research focuses on the study of the mechanism of action and resistance of drugs against pathogenic non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) and how these mycobacteria adapt to the human host. He also investigates the synthesis and transport of mycobacterial cell wall lipids and polysaccharides involved in the pathogenicity of mycobacteria.
