I am an aspiring infectious disease researcher currently pursuing my bachelors degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Science at Colorado State University. My long-term goal is earning a PhD and working in vaccine development and on therapeutic strategies against various pathogens.
My current role at the Goodrich Lab has given me valuable experience in BSL-2 laboratory environments, where I work with infectious agents, tissue cultures, various assays, and animal models to support ongoing studies of infectious agents and immunology.
Regarding my personal life, I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina where I spent my whole life prior to moving to Fort Collins for my undergraduate degree. Happily traded my marshes and swamps for mountains. My background includes diverse clinical and veterinary settings where I honed practical skills such as administering IM and subcutaneous injections, drawing blood, operating various types of medical equipment, and safely managing biohazardous materials.
