Dr. Christi Leong is originally from Sacramento, CA and attended UC Berkeley, obtaining a B.S. in conservation resource studies and an education minor. Prior to working in veterinary medicine, she worked for the World Triathlon Corporation (Ironman Triathlon) in Boulder, CO, in merchandise and product development for several years.
In Boulder, she adopted Scout, a spunky boxer mix who required multiple orthopedic surgeries which inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and she graduated from the Colorado State University D.V.M. program in 2018. Following graduation, Dr. Leong completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship and has worked in small animal general practice in Washington and Colorado as an associate veterinarian and medical director.
Dr. Leong has special interests in dentistry, aging, and pain management. Outside of work, she enjoys CrossFit, endurance sports, cooking, and spending time with her family and son. She has a passion for teaching and mentorship, and is thrilled to carry on the legacy of the CSU D.V.M. program, foster the development of our future veterinarians, and share the art of veterinary medicine.
