Lauren is a NIH T34 MARC scholar at Colorado State. They are currently completing their BS at Colorado State in Biomedical Sciences, with a concentration in Microbiology and Infectious Disease. They previously worked in Dr. Mary Jackson's lab under the leadership of Dr. Charlotte Avanzi, working with the causative agent of leprosy. Currently, they are working in Dr. Candace Mathiason's Lab under the leadership of Dr. Nathaniel Denkers, working with Chronic Wasting Disease in white-tailed deer in Arkansas.
