About Cheyenne

Cheyenne is a Master of Public Health: Epidemiology student at the Colorado School of Public Health - CSU campus. Her public health interests center on improving communities to create healthier individuals. Previous experiences include working as a community health education specialist, where she led the development of a research project to understand the effects of the pandemic on the nutritional intake of citizens living in Mohave County, Arizona. The collected data was used to tailor the nutrition curriculum, improving community trust and connections with the public health department. She applies similar community-informed approaches to her current research. Cheyenne is a student researcher in the Kelp Laboratory, studying community risk perceptions of West Nile Virus in northern Larimer County and how this perception modifies health behaviors. In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys exploring local parks and recreation areas with her two dogs and discovering new dessert places.
