About Tillie

Tillie earned her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Microbiology from Colorado State University. While completing her B.S she worked under Dr.Mark Stenglein working on Galbut virus in Drosophila melanogaster and Insect Specific Viruses in Mosquitoes. She also gained skills in Next Generation Sequencing and Bioinformatics. After graduation she continued on as a Research Associate in the Stenglein lab until she began her PhD at CSU in Fall 2022.Now as a graduate student she is being co-mentored by Drs. Christie Mayo and Mark Stenglein working mainly on Blue Tongue virus doing sequencing and phylogenetic mapping.
