About Sera

Dr. Lee grew up in Denver, Colorado with her immediate family and two Shih-Tzus. When she thinks of childhood, the main things that stick out are the countless hours she spent at the barn around horses (her true happy place), volunteering at her local veterinary clinic, and loving her high school STEM courses (particularly chemistry!). Becoming a veterinarian was a no-brainer, as it was the combination of all the things that excited her. She attended CSU for her undergraduate and veterinary degree. Throughout her years as a college and veterinary student, she worked as a student assistant in a variety of departments but was drawn to anesthesia, as it requires a wide breadth of knowledge while also utilizing procedural, technical skills. Being able to provide instantaneous effects on patient comfort and stability is a big draw to her. It is also one of the few specialties where she works with and helps a diverse set of patients (dogs, cats, horses, cows, lions, birds, etc.) When not within a hospital setting, she spends time with her partner, 2 beautiful perfect cats (Tuna and Minnow), and the dog (Charles Johnson). She enjoys hiking, biking, reading, trying to find time to ski, and cleaning.
