About Michael

My primary teaching activities include organizing and lecturing in BMS 405—Nerve and Muscle: Toxins, Trauma, and Disease. This formal teaching involves a review of insults to nerve and muscle function, ranging from BoTx poisoning to the accumulation of nanoplastics in the brain. However, most of my teaching activity has been centered in the research laboratory where ion channel molecular physiology is studied. Instruction here has involved postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates pursuing independent research projects. Given that I am approaching retirement, I am no longer accepting trainees.
