Lauren Hives

Lauren is an undergraduate student in the MIP department hoping to graduate in Spring of 2025 and later pursue a DVM at Colorado State. She is currently assisting Dr. Casey Gries and PhD student Julia Hilliard in their research with biofilm formation of Staphylococcus aureus. Lauren hopes to focus on the influences of zinc on S. aureus biofilms, as well as design her own project using clinical isolates of Staphylococcus biofilms from canine veterinary patients.
