About Mollie

Originally from Olathe, Kansas, I obtained my BS in animal science from Kansas State University. My interest in research and laboratory animal medicine started during my undergraduate degree when I worked in a swine virology laboratory. Eager to learn more about the work our laboratory was investigating, I earned a MS in Veterinary Biomedical Science 2016. My work focused on identifying cross-reactive epitope regions between bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and classical swine fever (CSF) glycoproteins. During this time, I was also accepted into veterinary school and graduated from KSU with my DVM in 2019. After receiving my DVM, I was excited to move to Colorado to pursue the combined comparative medicine residency/PhD program at Colorado State University. In my free time you can find me playing with my dog, caring for my chinchillas, , tending to some form of aquatic life, gardening, eating, hiking, playing table top and video games, and spending time with friends and family.
