About Maria

Maria Gore, M.S.W., is the director of operations and program services for the Argus Institute. She obtained her master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the Argus team, she worked as a hospice social worker and was previously a veterinary technician and manager at the University of Florida’s Veterinary Hospitals in the Large Animal Hospital.

Maria is passionate about the human–animal bond and believes strongly that animals make us better humans. She is dedicated to maintaining the Argus Institute’s high standard of support that aids pet owners, veterinary professionals, students, the local community, and the international veterinary community.

Maria moved to Colorado from Florida and now lives in Fort Collins with her wife, Lori, and their two dogs: a mixed-breed sweetheart and an exuberant English cream retriever.
