Paula Schaffer
Associate Professor Microbiology, Immunology, and PathologyAbout Paula
Pathology has been Paula's passion for over 20 years. She enjoys helping veterinarians and patients through provision of diagnostic services and cares deeply about teaching and mentoring veterinary students and residents. Her unique research area is aquatic animal pathology; the challenges of aquatic pathology are stimulating and there is always something new and exciting to discover. She is happiest when pursuing new infectious and noninfectious (including toxicologic) diseases in Colorado aquaculture as well as in wild native and threatened fish populations. She is co-advisor to the CSU student chapters of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Association and the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
