About Bonnie

Dr. Bonnie Young, a Research Scientist/Scholar II, is an interdisciplinary researcher in epidemiology and anthropology in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University. Her research in international and domestic settings spans household energy interventions (Honduras, Guatemala, Peru, India, Rwanda), pesticide exposure and health (California), SARS-CoV-2 aerosolized assessments (Colorado), communicable disease investigations (Hawaii), and tuberculosis studies (Mexico). She has in-depth experience in community engagement, capacity building, protocol development, quality assurance, field staff supervision, data management, statistical analysis, and disseminating findings. Her work is collaborative between laboratories, governmental agencies, and community partners to help address complex public health challenges locally and worldwide.
