Ivy was born and raised in Oregon. She graduated from Dallas College with her Associate of Applied Science in veterinary technology in December 2022 and passed the VTNE on her first attempt in April 2024. She is an RVT in the state of Colorado. Ivy moved to Colorado from Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2023 with her husband, a Norwegian helicopter pilot, and their two cats, Norah and Pumpkin. She recently adopted a kitten, Hufsa, from NOCO Humane. She has since found the hospital she calls home.
Ivy has been in the veterinary field since 2013 and brings years of experience across a wide range of areas, including emergency medicine, ICU, shelter medicine, high-volume spay and neuter, feral TNR, working alongside animal control and K-9 police officers, feline-only practice, and general practice. She is a certified cat-friendly veterinary professional through the Feline Veterinary Medical Association and is an active member. Ivy is also a VECC member and is RECOVER BLS and ALS hands-on certified, as well as Fear Free certified.
Ivy’s love for emergency medicine began at DoveLewis in Portland, Oregon. From the day she started in emergency medicine, she knew that was where she wanted to be. She began working at CSU in the summer of 2024. Ivy has taken veterinary students under her wing, supports student orientation for the ER department, and is proud to watch them grow both as veterinarians and as people.
She is also very active in the CSU FVMA chapter (Cat Club) and plans to pursue a VTS in feline medicine as well as emergency and critical care. Ivy believes the human–animal bond is a beautiful thing.
