Stephanie is an academic advisor in neuroscience and is dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic and personal journeys. Originally from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, she earned her bachelor’s degree in foreign languages from Oregon State University. She also spent a year studying in Tübingen, Germany – an experience that continues to shape her perspective and understanding of the world.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Stephanie gained extensive administrative experience in both the medical and legal fields before realizing how much she missed working in a college environment. She went on to earn a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University. With more than a decade of experience in academic advising, she continues to enjoy both the administrative and student-support aspects of her role.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys practicing yoga, taking nature walks, learning about social justice issues, and spending time with her partner, children, and pets. She is an avid traveler and has visited Greenland, Iceland, Denmark, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Australia.
Stephanie is also a strong advocate for self-care and believes that when individuals make time to care for themselves, they are better equipped to succeed and thrive. She looks forward to supporting students on their paths and wishes them well throughout their journeys.
