About Abdullatif

Abdullatif is a graduate student from Saudi Arabia currently pursuing a degree in toxicology in the United States. Since his arrival in 2021, he has embarked on a remarkable academic journey, guided by an exceptional mentor and supported by a network of inspiring collaborators.

His research centers on neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease. He is involved in a canine-based project in which he conducts pathological scoring of dogs to model disease patterns that resemble those found in human Alzheimer's disease. This work aims to provide valuable insights into the progression of the disease.

In addition, Abdullatif investigates exosomes derived from the plasma of cognitively impaired dogs to identify early pathological markers. These markers have the potential to serve as biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease, contributing to the development of diagnostic tools for early intervention.

Outside the laboratory, Abdullatif enjoys life’s simple pleasures. A dedicated coffee enthusiast, he takes pride in crafting the perfect cup using beans sourced from around the world, appreciating the unique flavors each region offers. He is also an avid gamer who spends his leisure time immersed in video games or watching movies at home. Abdullatif looks forward to connecting with others who share his interests in toxicology, neuroscience, or a well-brewed cup of coffee.
