About Tomi

Dr. Tomi Berczik is originally from Budapest, Hungary, and grew up in Belgium. He completed his higher education in the United Kingdom, earning an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and his D.V.M. from the Royal Veterinary College in London.

Following a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University (CSU) in 2025–2026, Dr. Tomi remained at CSU to complete a Master of Science in clinical ophthalmic research alongside an ophthalmology-focused specialty internship. He is deeply committed to pursuing a residency in veterinary ophthalmology and advancing clinical research within the specialty.

During veterinary school, he was actively involved in organized veterinary medicine, holding leadership roles within the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA), the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys traveling, hiking through national parks, and discovering new restaurants.
