About Ellie

Ellie is a functional morphologist and comparative anatomist. She received her Ph.D. in biological anthropology from Dartmouth College in 2019. Her fieldwork primarily takes place in South and Eastern Africa. She is interested in applying functional morphology and biomechanics to try and answer questions about human evolution. Her broad interest is in understanding the evolution of bipedal locomotion and the effect of forces on bone development.
