About Mark

Mark D. Stetter joined the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University as Dean on July 1, 2012. Mark came to CSU following a 15-year career with the Walt Disney Company at Walt Disney World where his most recent position was Director of Animal Operations. At Disney, he oversaw the overall health and daily care of the approximately 15,000 animals in the Disney programs and parks around the world and the international in situ field wildlife research and conservation programs that Disney sponsored and supported. He is also President and founder of the Elephant Population Management Program and was recently chair for the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians Research Committee. Mark received his DVM from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, completed an internship at The Animal Medical Center, a residency with the Wildlife Conservation Society and is board certified by the American College of Zoological Medicine.
