About MacKenzie
MacKenzie Demmel is an undergraduate student majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering with minors in Biomedical Engineering and Bioinformatics. She hopes to attain a comprehensive understanding of the immune system and the mathematical and computational requirements needed to analyze the corresponding data so she can one day apply it toward cancer research. She's currently focusing on the microbiome and it's connection to immune response, particularly in conjunction with vaccination. In her free time, MacKenzie enjoys being out doors, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
