The CSU Hematopathology Laboratory provides diagnostic testing for hematopoietic cancers in companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. Through our testing and research, we aid veterinarians in the accurate diagnosis of these diseases.
The testing and research we have been conducting since 2002, as well as follow-up information generously provided by submitting clinics, has helped us better understand these diseases. We have defined breed trends, environmental and genetic risk factors and features that help predict prognosis. We have been able to identify similarities between canine and human lymphomas which we hope will benefit both species.
