I grew up in Brazil and moved to the U.S. by myself for college in the hopes of pursuing a career in research. My major is biomedical sciences with a concentration in microbiology and infectious disease. I’ve always wanted to work in genetic engineering and hope to one day be able to help in the development of this area. In the future I want to work towards a master's and Ph.D. in genetic engineering or a related, area. In my free time I enjoy watching videos, listening to mythology podcasts, FaceTiming my friends from home, and catching up on the news from both countries.
