About Rebecca

Rebecca Staudenmaier is a Research Associate in the lab of Dr. Podell. Previously she was a Project Manager and Lab Manager in the laboratory of Dr. Dobos, where she did general lab management, as well as product production and contract management for the BEI-RRP contract. Prior to joining the Dobos lab, Rebecca was a teacher of art and science from the elementary to post-secondary school level. Her previous research experience includes work on the Human Genome Project at Oak Ridge National Lab with Dr. Lisa Stubbs. As a Research Technician at Kansas State University, she examined the development of mouse embryo organs in microgravity, at reduced temperatures, and with the sialoglycopeptide CeReS-18, a cell cycle inhibitor.  She also has laboratory experience outside of research as a Pathology Assistant. In her spare time Rebecca enjoys the outdoors with her family and moonlights as a Ceramic Artist.
