Dr. Harris is an Assistant Professor and co-director of the Experimental Pathology Facility in the Department of the Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology. Dr. Harris received his DVM in 2017 from North Carolina State University while simultaneously building a passion for infectious disease research and pathology. He continued to develop these interests in the combined anatomic pathology and PhD program at Colorado State University. Through his PhD, Dr. Harris investigated the immunopathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections in relation to vitamin A deficiency and CD1 lipid-based immunity. His current research interests include collaborative infectious and immunopathology research via innovative immunohistochemistry, quantitative histology, and molecular pathology techniques. Dr. Harris's pathology interests are centered around reproductive and avian pathology.
