Lindsey is a Toxicology PhD candidate co-advised by Dr. Santangelo. The primary focus of Lindsey’s dissertation has been investigating the role of iron and inflammation in the pathogenesis of idiopathic and post-traumatic osteoarthritis. As an ultimate CSU Ram, Lindsey also received both her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (2013) and her Master of Science in Toxicology (2014) from Colorado State University. Prior to starting her PhD, Lindsey worked as an Environmental Health Specialist for several counties in the Denver metropolitan area. After completing her PhD, Lindsey hopes to continue researching the prevention and/or management of chronic disorders, the identification of potential therapeutic targets for diseases, and the overall process of aging.
