About Becca

Becca was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, eventually moving to Tulsa, OK and Macon, GA. She returned to the Buckeye state to study Pharmaceutical Science at The Ohio State University where she was first introduced to the idea of comparative medicine in her courses on drug development. She decided to stay at OSU to pursue a combined MS/DVM. Early into graduate school, She learned about the role that pathologists played in biomedical research, and the rest was history! She was so excited to move to Fort Collins with her dog, Babou, for the combined anatomic pathology residency and PhD program. She is particularly interested in comparative oncology, but she looks forward to exploring all of the wonderful research opportunities at Colorado State. Outside of veterinary medicine, she considers herself an avid rock climber, novice mountain biker, houseplant nerd, punk rock enthusiast, and craft beer aficionado.
