About Kathryn

Dr. Kathryn Wotman is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is originally from Chicago and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in animal sciences and went on to obtain her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois. Dr Wotman completed her large animal internal medicine residency followed by a residency in veterinary ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, New Bolton Center. Dr Wotman is currently with the ophthalmology team at Colorado State University where she is an assistant professor in comparative ophthalmology. Her clinical interests and research center on equine ophthalmology, neoplasia with a focus on equine ocular squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), ocular pain management, corneal disease, equine recurrent uveitis (ERU), and ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
