About Allison

I am from the beautiful state of Washington! I received my BS in biochemistry from the University of Washington in 2006. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a research technician in a structural biology lab studying Vibrio Cholerae and then in a mucosal immunity and HIV lab. Through my time as a technician, I developed an interest in infectious diseases and comparative medicine which lead me to veterinary school. I attended vet school at Washington State University and during my first year I discovered a love for pathology. I especially like the way that pathology training can complement my research interests. I graduated with my DVM in May 2010 and am very excited to begin my anatomic pathology residency training here at CSU. I plan to continue working in the area of infectious disease and I have a special interest in animal models of human disease. In my free time I enjoy hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and adventuring with my husband, pug, and two cats.
