a required course for first year students in the Professional Veterinary Medical Program. Gross anatomy of the dog and the horse are covered comprehensively, with comparative aspects related to feline, porcine and ruminant anatomy. BMS 545, Neuroanatomy, a five-credit course in human neuroanatomy. Our emphasis is on the normal function of the nervous system and the clinical presentation of dysfunction. We make extensive use of human and veterinary cases of neurologic disease, presented in video format in the teaching lab. VM 619, Veterinary Neurobiology, a series of lectures are provided in this required course for first-year students in the Professional Veterinary Medical Program. The Veterinary Neurobiology course emphasizes neuroanatomy in a functional context and makes extensive use of case-based instruction and testing.

About Anna

Course coordinator and instructor teaching: VM 616, Functional Anatomy, a required course for first year students in the Professional Veterinary Medical Program. Gross anatomy of the dog and the horse are covered comprehensively, with comparative aspects related to feline, porcine and ruminant anatomy. BMS 545, Neuroanatomy, a five-credit course in human neuroanatomy. Our emphasis is on the normal function of the nervous system and the clinical presentation of dysfunction.
