About Connie

My primary responsibilities for the Department of Biomedical Sciences are related to teaching. I developed and served as the coordinator and instructor for BMS 302: Laboratory in Principles of Physiology, an undergraduate laboratory that explores the "world of hands-on-physiology," for over 35 years. I have a degree in Medical Technology and worked in clinical laboratory settings for several years before returning to graduate school. My clinical experiences were very useful in designing experiments for the physiology teaching laboratory. I retired from full-time classroom teaching in 2016 and currently work part-time on campus doing curriculum development for BMS 302. My primary teaching focus and responsibility is now BMS 320, a Virtual Physiology Laboratory which is available Spring, Summer, and Fall Semesters through Colorado State University Online.
