About Ali

Ali Brehm is a graduate student whose research in Mark Stenglein's lab focuses on the characterization and genetic analysis of Partitiviruses in arthropod species, specifically in Drosophila melanogaster. Identifying and characterizing these viruses has the potential to open a new door into biocontrol agents for vectors of disease such as mosquitos. When not in the lab, Ali enjoys exercising in the form of lacrosse, lifting weights and hiking, listening to podcasts, and taking care of her two little dogs, among other things.
