About Natasha

Natasha is a current research associate in the Mayo lab working on SARS-CoV-2 surveillance in companion animals and diagnostic assay development. She earned her B.S. in Biology from The City College of New York - CUNY and started working at CSU performing COVID-19 testing support for the local community. Since then, she has been gaining knowledge in laboratory benchwork and writing projects to support continuing experience that will aid in her effort to grad school. Her interests include emerging infectious disease pathogenesis, ecology, and transmission dynamics, and host-pathogen interactions. She is very passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion, and conservation outreach. Outside of the lab she spends her time with her pets, taking walks and baking.
