About Kelly

Dr. Kelly Still Brooks is an Assistant Professor of Dairy and Livestock Production Medicine. She grew up in a Navy family, graduating with her DVM from Cornell University in 2005 and an MPH from the University of Iowa in 2010. Dr. Still Brooks served as an active-duty U.S. Army Veterinarian until 2014, when she transitioned to the Army Reserves and accepted a faculty position the in the ambulatory Livestock Production Medicine service at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Food Animal) and the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Dr. Still Brooks has a special interest in dairy and small ruminant practice and is passionate about helping veterinary students understand animal agriculture, animal food production, and population medicine while helping producers improve the health, productivity, and welfare of their animals.
