About Erin
Erin Allen, MSSW, is a social worker for the Argus Institute. Originally from East Tennessee, Erin earned her master’s degree in social work at the University of Tennessee. While in school, she worked at a private veterinary practice as a veterinary assistant, and in graduate school she interned at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine as a veterinary social worker. There, Erin provided client support for pet families. As a member of the Argus team, Erin assists and supports clients with all aspects of the decision making they face during their pet’s illness, including end-of-life issues. She also provides support to pet caregivers who have said goodbye to a beloved pet. Erin, her husband, and son share their home with Dunkel, a big, goofy bernedoodle, and Barley, the feline ruler of the house.
