chasity.trammell@colostate.eduAbout Chasity
Chasity is a visiting PhD student from the Alan Goodman lab at Washington State University. Her project is focused on identifying and evaluating novel immunological components in the immune response against mosquito-borne viruses like West Nile, Zika, and dengue. Currently, the Perera Lab is conducting research that seeks to evaluate the therapeutic potential that insulin and insulin signaling has within vector-competent mosquitoes to determine if targeting this mechanism can alleviate or prevent transmission.
