Hannah Laurence
Post Doctoral - Anatomic Pathology Resident
Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology
About Hannah
I grew up in San Francisco, CA, riding horses south of the city and befriending all the barn cats. I attended Colorado State as an undergraduate, earning two bachelors degrees in Microbiology and Spanish, before returning home to California for veterinary school at UC Davis. It was during college that I discovered a love of research and I ended up pausing vet school between second and third year to do a research year with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to study Zika virus. I have always been fascinated by understanding how and why things work the way they do and a career in pathology and research is a perfect combination of my passions. In my free time you'll find me at a local brewery, running, seeing live music with friends, or contemplating which virus will cause the next pandemic.
