With this upbringing, veterinary medicine seemed like a natural choice for me as a future career option as I entered my undergraduate at the University of Connecticut. While there, I was introduced to the world of veterinary pathology through my professors, who are veterinary pathologist.  My interest in pathology and research continued to develop throughout my veterinary curriculum at North Carolina State University. My infectious disease interest solidified while working on a research project that involved using Enterococcus cecorum causing enterococcal spondylitis in chickens. I am excited to see what opportunities, and learning experiences await me as I start my journey here at Colorado State University. In my free time I like being outdoors, traveling, spending time with friends, and of course hanging out with my two dogs, Tootsie and Luna.

About Macallister

I grew up in western Connecticut on my family's rescue and therapeutic riding facility. With this upbringing, veterinary medicine seemed like a natural choice for me as a future career option as I entered my undergraduate at the University of Connecticut. While there, I was introduced to the world of veterinary pathology through my professors, who are veterinary pathologist. My interest in pathology and research continued to develop throughout my veterinary curriculum at North Carolina State University. My infectious disease interest solidified while working on a research project that involved using Enterococcus cecorum causing enterococcal spondylitis in chickens. I am excited to see what opportunities, and learning experiences await me as I start my journey here at Colorado State University.
