Equine Sports Medicine Veterinary Technician Veterinary Teaching Hospital

About Meredith

Meredith spent most of her formative years in Middleburg, Virginia where she immersed herself in both the foxhunting and thoroughbred racing communities. She left Middleburg to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), where she received her bachelor's degree in animal and poultry sciences in 2010. After graduation, she returned to Northern Virginia and worked at Spring Hill Farm, a large thoroughbred breeding operation, where she foaled out mares, prepped young horses for sales, and rehabbed layups home from the track. From there, she took a barn management/veterinary assistant position at Virginia Equine Imaging where her interest in equine sports medicine grew. Following a move to Colorado, Meredith joined CSU's equine sports medicine team in 2015 as a technician. She currently spends her free time riding the occasional project horse and hiking around the mountains of Colorado.
