About Michaela

Although my family is originally from Wyoming, I had the fortunate experience to grow up in Europe. My family lived in England, Scotland and the Netherlands for over 11 years before returning to the States. I completed my undergraduate studies here at Colorado State University where I earned two bachelor's degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish. During this time, I worked at CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital and found a love for anatomic pathology in the necropsy lab. I went on to complete my DVM degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada. While there, my love of pathology and research continued to grow. The incredible program at CSU combined with my love of the mountains has brought me back to Fort Collins and I am so happy to be here! My non-pathology interests include: photography, hiking, snowboarding, and riding my horse Tucker.
